2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

When you use our services, we collect the following personal data:

  • (a) Identification data: your name, address, phone number, and email
  • (b) Emergency contact data: name, phone, and relationship of your designated emergency contact
  • (c) Pet health and behavioral data: medical conditions, medications, allergies, behavioral history, and veterinary information
  • (d) Home access data (cat-sitting only): key identifiers, alarm codes, and building access instructions — classified as high-sensitivity data
  • (e) Visual data: photos and videos of your pet during the service (and home environments only where you have given separate consent)
  • (f) Service data: booking history, preferences, and payment records

3. WHY WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

  • To deliver the pet care services you have booked (contract performance)
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of animals in our care (legitimate interest)
  • To communicate with you about your pet during the service
  • To contact veterinary services in case of emergency
  • For marketing purposes, only where you have given separate, explicit consent

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

  • Client and pet profile data: 5 years after your last service (Swiss statutory limitation period)
  • Home access data (keys, codes): deleted within 30 days of your last service, unless you have an ongoing booking
  • Marketing materials (photos/videos): until you withdraw your consent

5. WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

We share your data only with:

  • Our designated backup caregiver(s), strictly for service continuity
  • Your designated veterinary clinic or emergency veterinary services, in case of medical need
  • Tally.so (our form processing platform — see tally.so/help/privacy-policy)
  • Our payment processor, for payment handling only

We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our service providers (including Tally.so) may process data outside Switzerland. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses) in accordance with nDSG Art. 16-17.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG, 2023), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by us
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent for marketing use at any time

8. SECURITY

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process. Home access data is stored separately from identifying information and is accessible only to the assigned caregiver.
